The luxurious “Grande Dame” of Camps Bay is one of the final remaining original homes that have been refurbished to its previous glorious state. This unit boasts a remarkable backdrop that includes exquisite views of the iconic Table Mountain and the majestic 12 Apostles range, as well as limitless vistas of the shores, oceans and mountains from each room. Set just above the private Barley Bay beach, a four minute walk will take you to the cosmopolitan Camps Bay beach and promenade, making this a prime location in which to be situated during your stay in the Mother City. This charming property is fully serviced every week day and is able to be rented out as a five bedroom en-suite self-catering villa complete with swimming pool, or as two detached self-contained houses. There is no internal entry between the two floors, so they each have their own entrance.
Bingley Place’s gorgeous upper level is referred to as “Bingley House” and contains three stunning bedrooms, all of which are en-suite. The two master bedrooms house king size beds, fine percale linen, spectacular vistas of the emerald sea, and the extra feature of massive bath tubs that open up into the bedrooms. The third bedroom contains two single beds that can easily be converted into a king size bed, its own exclusive deck with exquisite sea and mountain views and a private outdoor Victorian bath tub located in the lush garden. The contemporary, open plan and completely kitted out kitchen overlooks the lounge and its fireplace, through to the glass enclosed veranda that can be opened up fully to showcase the magnificent Atlantic ocean and mountains surrounding the unit. The chic kitchen also opens up to a stylish dining area boasting a splendid eight-seater Victorian table, as well as a piano. From the dining space, you can walk directly onto the pool deck which is ideal for sophisticated entertaining and diving into the sparkling swimming pool that looks over the nearby ocean. More than enough restaurants can be found in Camps Bay, but to just name a few worth a visit we would recommend you to go to Blues the icon of the ultra-trendy Camps Bay, Paranga Cape Town’s coolest culinary experience where you can eat delicious sushi, Pepper Club where you can enjoy the sea view while sipping on cocktails, or indulging in exceptional seafood lunches or sunset dinners and The Raj Restaurant offers all the splendour of traditional North Indian cuisine.
What to do
When you are in Camps Bay you should not forget to relax on the beautiful beach, maybe some surfing. You could also go for a hike on the Table Mountain and/or Lions Head.
