Number of rooms

Palm Tree House is snuggled away in the peaceful streets of pristine Camps Bay, overlooking Bakoven, Lion’s Head and the renowned 12 Apostles mountain range. This three bedroom, double storey unit is a fantastic holiday getaway for most anyone. The walls are adorned with hangings and pictures of a once undeveloped Atlantic coastline, providing a feeling of nostalgia. The sunken lounge with contemporary seating and hints of African-inspired artworks and light fixtures leads out onto the lower floor ocean-facing patio. The dining rom is connected to the living room, with an 8-seater wooden dining room table.

The diverse style of the living room spills into the dining room with well-selected mismatched chairs from which you can admire panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and coastline. Modern sliding doors fully close off the living room and make it private from the remainder of the villa. The contemporary, chic kitchen combines classic furnishings with modern appliances, including a gas stove top oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. A big gas cooker and stove are available for those wishing to create culinary feasts.

A charming dark wood breakfast table and family room with flat screen television split the dining and kitchen areas. Across the hall is the master bedroom with an open plan en-suite bathroom. Its features include a restored fireplace and immediate access to the garden. The bathroom comes with two basins, a shower and bath tub that transform the spacious room into somewhat of a relaxation haven. On the upper floor are another two bedrooms, both tastefully furnished against expertly-restored parquet flooring. Both bedrooms open immediately onto the upstairs veranda, adorned with potted aloes and white garden rocks.

The second bedroom (the “Palm Tree Room”) boasts splendid Atlantic Ocean and Table Mountain vistas, as well as an open plan bathroom with shower and bath tub. The room houses a luxury king size bed (made up of two singles), air conditioning and a contemporary flat screen television. The third bedroom, “the Atlantic Room”, comes with an en-suite open plan bathroom with shower. It contains a deluxe queen size bed, air conditioning and a contemporary flat screen television as well. On the property you can find a large back garden and big swimming pool. Palm Tree House provides guests with a home away from home, supplying creature comforts in a contemporary environment. The mixture of space and style make this home a spectacular holiday destination in the Cape.

Camps Bay

Things to do - general

The ‘Riviera of the South Africa’, Camps Bay is where the rich and famous strut their designer wear.

The Camps Bay strip is famous for its bars, restaurants and beautiful white sandy beach. A popular place for locals to sit back, relax and watch the sunset, while sipping a beautiful cocktail.

It is well known for multi million dollar apartments and villas.

More than enough restaurants can be found in Camps Bay, but to just name a few worth a visit we would recommend you to go to Blues the icon of the ultra-trendy Camps Bay,  Paranga Cape Town’s coolest culinary experience where you can eat delicious sushi, Pepper Club where you can enjoy the sea view while sipping on cocktails, or indulging in exceptional seafood lunches or sunset dinners and The Raj Restaurant offers all the splendour of traditional North Indian cuisine.

What to do

When you are in Camps Bay you should not forget to relax on the beautiful beach, maybe some surfing. You could also go for a hike on the Table Mountain and/or Lions Head.

When you are looking for a nice bar or a bite to eat, there are some places where you will find everything you need. You could visit Café Caprice: The trendy ‘be seen at bar’. Very popular on Sunday evenings but get there early!
