Squirrel Golf at Devonvale

Every Sunday the Devonvale Estate hosts a golf day called ‘Squirrel Golf for kids’ between the ages of 3 and 12 years old. During the summer months the pint-sized tournaments operate from 4pm to 6pm. A six-hole game costs R30 p/p including rewards for the kids at the end of the game.

The Ice Station at Grand West Casino

Ice skating is always a fun thing to do whether it is summer or winter. At Grand West Casino you can ice skate for a very reasonable price of R35 p/p, R30 p/p during half rink skating (the club uses the other half) R40 p/p during peak times (weekends). For the little ones there is a mini-arena to skate, without the bother of the big kids for just R15 p/p. All the prices include skates.

Two Oceans Aquarium

With more than 3 000 sea animals the Two Oceans Aquarium is a magical journey. With the touch pool and the chance to dive with sharks this aquarium is a real experience. Check the website for feeding times when you can witness the sharks in action. Tickets cost R118 p/p for adults; R92 p/p for children aged 14 – 17 years, R58 p/p for those 4 – 13 years old and are free for those under 4.

The Scratch Patch

Here you and your children can scratch for semi-precious stones in a large safe area. You are surrounded by so many colourful stones that it is a feast for the eyes and an uplifting experience. The treasure hunt is surprisingly affordable at R15 for kids to fill up a small bag.
The scratch patch is open from Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:45, and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 09:00 to 17h30.

Cape Town Science Centre

The Science Centre is a fun way to learn. With science shows, robotics workshops, holiday programmes and much more to entertain your children. The Science Centre was awarded the ‘Best Curriculum Related Workshop’  in Cape Town. It is open from 09:00 to 16:30 from Mondays to Saturdays, and from 10:00 to 16:30 on Sundays and public holidays. It costs just R38 p/p for a day of awesomeness, and groups of 10 or more that book in advance pay R33 p/p.
